Fiction Motivation Story "Jenim is Jenius"
Stop mocking, I will be successful

Long time ago, in the beautiful village of Gunung Remuk in Banyuwangi lived a poor couple who had a son. The son was named Jenim Prayugo. His father worked as a cleanlinessman in a elementery school in Banyuangi whereas his mother worked as a garbageman. Jenim was kind person who always had a dream being a student. He was eleven years old but he never got education in the school. It happened because his condition which was poor so that he could not be student like other children in his village.
Eventhough Jenim could not be student, he had his own way to get knowledge which was equal like other students. Everyday in the mornig, he used to follow and help his father in the school. In the rest time, he used to utilize the time to see the teacher explained the material in the class through the window. He was not shy at all even the other student mocked him because his performance which was dirty.
One day in the class, the teacher gave the mathematic question to the student. Jenim who was outside the class listened the question carefully. “Can you finish this question?” asked the teacher. The students were silent at that moment. 15 minutes remaining but still no response from the students. Finally for once more time the teacher said “if you can finish this question, I will give you a gift.” Jenim who was not on purpose said “ I will, sir”. Jenim was silent for a while and said to his self “ shit, what am I doing?” the teacher was suprised and asked to Jenim. “Yes just who are you? Are you student here?” No sir, I am Mr Rahmad’s son one of the cleanlinessman here” Jenim answered with slow tone. The teacher asked jenim “come here and dont be shy!” Jenim entered the class confidently and all students laughed to him. One of the student Reza who got the first ranked said to the teacher confidently “ he won't finish this question, trust me!” Jenim wasn't angry at all, he took a chalk directly and finished the question in 15 seconds. The teacher was surprised “ unbelievable, how can it be? You can finish my qustion very fast”. All the students opened their mouth unbelieving. Afterward, Jenim went out from the class and run. The teacher said “ wait I have a gift for you!" but Jenim denied his order. Jenim cried and came to his father who was cleaning the school garden.
His father asked Jenim “ where do you come from? I am afraid your existence will disturb people here and the teacher asked me not to bring you again here.” I just wanna follow the lesson through the window dad and I don't disturb people here” Jenim response. His father hugged him and said to him “forgive me please Jenim, Up to now, I can’t create your dream to become the student, Forgive me cause I am useless.” Jenim aswered “no dad I am thankfull and happy to see you in health condition like this.”
The bell was ringing, it means the time for go home. When all the students went home, Jenim and his father were still in the school to clean the falling leaves. Many students mocked him at that time. But he denied, he believed that they would not mock him anymore one day. In the middle of cleaning and throwing garbage, Jenim found the books which were not used again. Then, he brought all of them to his home. He would like to show to the people who was him actually.
He and his father went home and till at home, the mother greeted him well. “Jenim have you had eaten?” the mother asked. “No thanks I am not hungry” jenim answered.” What did you bring jenim” the mother asked him again. “These are books, I find them in the trash and I feel no one need them again, so I bring them to the home” Jenim answered. “Well you must be tired, I please you to take rest” asked his mother. “Yes Mom” said Jenim.
No need longer time, Jenim had finished all books that he had for three days. Now He had mastered all the lessons for the sixth class. Jenim always brings books wherever he go. Even many people underestimated him because he was not same with other children who can be student in the school. Many children also did not want playing with him, in other word he did not have friends at all except his books. “ you never be success if you don’t get knowledge in the school” people said. But he only smiled.
One day in the small cottage when he went home after helping his mother looking for garbage, there were girls student who teamworked finishing their homework. They all were confuse because they did not know how the way to finish it. Suddenly Jenim came close to them. “that’s easy can I help you to finish it all?” Jenim asked. “Who are you? I am not sure you can finish it correctly”one of girls said. “ you never know can I finish it or not if you don’t let me to finish it, give me five minutes and I will finish it all!” Jenim said. “but you are still kid, this assignment is for junior high school student not for kid” she said. “Shut up, I will finish it and see” jenim said. Apparantly, All of them could not open their mouth when Jenim finished their homework so fast, indeed he finished it all in three minutes. “you will get a hundred score tomorrow” Jenim said. “thank you, you are genius” all of them said confusely. “You’re welcome, if you need me again call me only. I always pass this path in the afternoon.” Jenim said. “Yes thanks, anyway what’s your name?” they asked. “my name is Jenim, you can call me Je” Jenim answered.
The following day, Jenim followed his father again to the school. He helped his father cleaning the school yard and moving the garbage from the small trash to the big one. When he was moving garbage, suddenly one of the student was on purpose struck him till he fell down on the ground. The student was Reza. He did not like there was Jenim at his school. For him, Jenim had made him shy because he could not answer the question in the class in the previous day. “Are you blind? You should go home and help your mother!” Reza said. Reza looked envy against Jenim because his cleverness. Jenim only smiled and said “ I will help my mother after I have helped my father, you dont need ask me!” That moment really made Reza angry to him. Jenim leave and denied him.
In the rest time, Jenim used to do his habit to listen the teachers taught through the window. He used to answered the teachers’question on the board as well when all the students could not answered those question. He did it because he wanted showing that he was proper to become a student. Every single lessons he could master it and made the teachers amazed to him. Since that moment, Jenim became trending topic in the school. In the teachers room, one of the teacher said that Jenim was genius. He could finish the sixht class question so fast.
Finally one of the teacher proposed to the headmaster to make Jenim become the student in that school. The headmaster agreed and gave Jenim a scholarship till he graduated from that school. The headmaster came to Jenim’s house and delivered that good news to his parents. Jenim was very happy at that time. He could not imagine, his dream came true. “thanks sir” Jenim said. “Yes but you have to promise to me not make me dissapointed!”the headmaster said. “Yes sir” Jenim answered ( noding).
The following day was the first day for Jenim became a student in the school. He looked happy when he arrived in front of gate of the school wearing red and white uniform. He felt that he was same with other students that needed education. Many student was staring him at that time. But Jenim was same usual smiled to them.
Tet–tet-tet, the bell was ringing it meant the time for all the students and teachers entering the class. At that time, Jenim entered in the sixht class, the top level of the elementery school. He did not want wasting the time to choose entering the fourth or the fifth class. He wanted graduated soon. When he entered the class, all the student were confuse including Reza the smartest student in the class. Suddenly the teacher came into the class at once staring the figure of Jenim. “Are you Jenim Mr. Rahmad’s son?” the teacher asked. “ Yes I am new student here” Jenim answered. All student laughed in the class. “you should take the lower class, your place was not here” Reza said. Jenim smiled and said “lets just prove am I proper here? I am gonna proof to you all that I am gonna get the first ranked here.” “It is impossible because two weeks later we will get the final exam of the first semester, I am sure you are not ready yet for that” Reza said. Finaly the teacher interrupted their conversation. Then, the teacher asked Jenim to come foward and introduced his self. He introduced his self in front of the class, He delivered everything about him and his real dream in the future to become a ministry of education and got the Proffesor degree. The teacher amazed to jenim whom had a high motivation and dream whereas all the student laughed unbelieving.
In the rest time, Jenim used to his father even he wore the uniform. He was not shy at all helping his father cleaning the school yard. He felt happy. All days he spent their time to read a lot of books at once helped his father. The teachers who saw him amazed and prouded of him. Jenim was a student who did not have friends. His friends in the school was his books and father. When other students played and bought food. Jenim only saw and smiled while reading a book. Because he did not have money to buy food. He just ate food which was made by his mother at home.
Day by day in the class, Jenim and Reza became a great rival. Reza did not wanna loose from the cleanlinessman’s son. Most of the lessons which was given by the teacher, they were both always got the perfect scores. The teacher was amazed. Unfortunately, even Jenim was smart in the class but still there were many student who mocked and did not like him so much. That’s make Jenim’s motivation became biggest and biggest.
Finnaly the day which has been waited come. Tomorrow was Jenim’s first final examamination. Jenim studied seriously everyday accompanied by candles to prepare it and Reza did it as well. In the middle of the night, Jenim got up and did tahajud prayer. He prayed to God in order he could passed the exam well and got te first ranked. He wanted made his mother prouded of him.
In the mornng his mother prepared his beakfast and did not forget prayed to him. Jenim had prepared all material that would brought for exam. Then, he went to the school on foot with his father and did not forget saying salam to his mother. He arrivedto the school and directly went to the class. He also did not forget saying salam to his father.
In the class the teacher shared the question. All the student tried to finish it. Jenim was the fastest student who could finish the question in 15 minutes from 50 questions. The teacher was speechlees. “are you sure?” the teacher said. “yes I am” Jenim answered. All the student only could silent when Jenim submitted the question to the teacher including Reza. “ can I leave the class,Mrs? There is something that I have to do” asked Jenim. “yes please” asked the teacher. Jenim went out the class and came close to his father and said “I am gonna got the first ranked dad, trust me!” “yes I believed you could” his father said.
Ten days later was taking the raport by the parents at once announcing who get the first ranked. Jenim’s mother took his raport by wearing old clothe. The result was surprised her. Jenim got the first ranked in his class. He got the perfect scores every single lessons. The teacher saying congratulation to her. When she arrived at home she directly hugged Jenim and saying cogratulation to jenim for getting the first ranked. “I have known mom thanks” Jenim said. “ its all because of your prayer” Jenim said. The mother cried. While his father only smiled to jenim.
Seven years later Jenim grew up became a great student. He had passed education in the school by his own struggles. He always got scholarship from the school so that he could continue studying in the university that well known. Jenim studied in Indonesia University by taking mathematic education department. His existence was admitted there. He also got scholarship again. But unfortunately he had to be patient leaving his village and his parents for his dreams. He lived so far from his parents. His parents missed him always in the village
One day his mother was sick and his father could not deliver her to the hospital because the cost was expensive. His father asked Jenim to go home soon by sending the letter to him. His father thought that his mother was sick because of missing Jenim’s existence. Apparently, Jenim could not back at home in the village because he followed science and mathematic olympiad in his university. He followed that olympiad because the gift was so big. The first winner would get 10.000.000 million. He wanted gave the money to his parents in the village. Finally he got the first winner.
One week later Jenim came back in the village to say and give the gift to his parents. When he arrived in his village, he confused why there were many people brought rose flower to his house. What happened actually? He shocked when he saw a dead flag in front of his house.
His father greeted him sadly “sorry Je your mother passed away, this all my mistakes because I can't keep your mother, I have to go working in the school Je." Iistening his father said, Jenim’s body fell down on the ground as if unbelieving about what happend to his mother. He cried and felt that it happened because of his mistakes that canceled went to home soon because following the olympiad. He could not turn back time anymore. That's the destiny for him from the God. In the journey he used to imagine when he arrived at home the mother hugged him because of his sucsess become the winner.
Everytimes at home, he spent their time by silent and thinking about his mother. If only he came home soon, his mother would not die. Thats which always he thought at home. His father came close to him and said” you must be patient, your mother did not happy there if see you sad up like this, you still have me.” “whereas I want her see me become minstry of education and become the proffesor. I want give her new home but it is late” Jenim said ( sad tone and cry). Jenim finaly was patient accepted this reality and came back to his university.
Seven years later Jenim could create his real dreams become the ministry of education in young age at once became the professor. He created new record in Indonesia and became genius person. He went to home and gave this good news to his father. His father and his neighbours were happy at that time. Jenim and his father lived happily and made his mother happy to him out there.
